For L4 queries requiring external knowledge, Cognitive Tool-Assisted Reasoning (CoTool) allows autonomous tool invocation within the LLM's chain-of-thought.
CogER significantly outperforms state-of-the-art Test-Time Scaling (TTS) methods. It achieves at least a 13% relative improvement in average exact match (EM) on In-Domain tasks and an 8% relative gain on Out-of-Domain tasks.
